dems refuse to even consider some reasonable cap on tort reform. Ask a doctor you trust about what they all do to prevent law suits (which some do deserve). Along with that, ignorant US jurors are willing to give anything to someone, even if there's no realistic malfeasance by anyone.

Also, the huge influx of outside gov't money to the system means hospitals don't have to operate as efficiently as they once did. And, can charge more to the user.

Clearly there are reasons for it.
