That $16M debt was erased just three years later.
By the time Hillary ran for President in 2016, Forbes estimated their net worth at $45 million.
In his first year out of office (2001), Bill gave 57 speeches and earned $13.7 million from his “speaking and writing” business, according to their tax return.
That same year (2001), Hillary reportedly received a $2.9 million installment of an $8 million advance for her book “Living History.” Bill collected a $10 million advance for “My Life.”
