I think his main point is that the media can't be trusted to tell us the truth about these protests, or who the actors are and their motivations.

I have seen enough mixed reports in mainstream media and online that I have questioned what is true and what is not in terms of the reporting. Several reports claim the taxation protesters have been very peaceful, while antifa types are putting on yellow vests and using this as an opportunity to destroy some shyt and help divide and destroy France. It is hard to predict the end result here.

Now, even an almost Libertarian like yourself should appreciate the dilemma all of us find ourselves in these days with fake news and the difficulty in knowing what is really happening.

Do any of us really believe this is only about taxes? This is also about the BS policies of the EU, uncontrolled immigration to EU countries, including France, and the stagnation of wages and increased unemployment for French citizens.
