than Mark is susceptible.
Santos isn't going to play 25 minutes out of the gate, but he could build up to that if he produces like we hope.
The 5 guys that Santos impacts are Suggs, Pickett, Watson, Mitch, and Puryear.
Suggs should be done outside of a rare defensive key moment.
Pickett and Watson together are averaging 21 minutes per game and Mitch is averaging 15.5, but has been averaging 23 the last 3 games as he gets more comfortable. Mitch has scored and gotten at least 4 boards in every game in which he's played at least 10 minutes. It looks like his on the upswing. Puryear is averaging 26.6 mpg but has dipped slightly the last couple of games.
Anyway, let's say these guys drop like this...
Suggs 7.5-0 = 7.5
Pickett 24.5 - 20 = 16.5
Watson 17.5 - 15 = 2.5
Puryear 26.5 - 25 = 1.5
Mitch 15.5 - 15 = .5
These are very small adjustments but it gets Santos to 16.5 minutes without making a big impact on anybody.
There are some other possible situations but covering all of them would be even more tedious than I've already been.
BUT, and interesting situation is that Martin has been willing to play Mitch and Puryear as the two bigs a little bit. Maybe adding Santos to that combo makes it even easier to go to when Tilmon is in foul trouble and ultimately it does impact Nikko's minutes.
well shlt, i just thought a little more. If you take out 2 games Mitch is averaging over 19 mpg and as I noted, his minutes are up notably in the last 3 and Puryear has dipped slightly...maybe that's a sign. Maybe it's a coincidence.
