I was invited to parties and taken to bars the summer before my freshman year by a few different rush chairs at various frats. This isn't a post to say I'm cool, it's a post to say that's not a southern thing. That's basically the entire job of a rush chair.

Especially frats since there really isn't a formal rush week like sororities.
