I just called the new Mizzou bowl the boring bowl because a team that is ranked and 8-4 is playing a 6-6 team on New Years Eve? That is a slap in the face.

Sure Mizzou shot themselves in the foot losing to Kentucky, losing to South Carolina obviously. But lets not forget getting skipped for the Orange Bowl even though we beat Kansas that same year. Mizzou always gets screwed but this one takes the cake.

Put all of that into the cake and bake it with who actually watches bowl games on New Years Eve anyway? Does anyone want to see Mizzou for OK State or Northwestern vs Utah or Texas AM vs NC State?

Having games on NYE is like a DUMB IDEA. Most people are out at a party or watching countdowns on TV or getting drunk. LOL

Who wants to watch FOOTBALL? Getting dumped on New Years Eve is probably the worst idea and doesn’t help any of those programs.

So I’m asking forget Mizzou playing on NYE do you think ANY games on NYE is a good idea considering what people TRADITIONALLY do on NYE? Who thinks the million people in time square are watching football? See the point?

Just a good question and something for the TV execs to think about. Aside from watching on TV who wants to attend a football game in Memphis or any other town on NYE?

My opinion a bad idea and another bowl date to avoid and Mizzou got it.
