Notre Dame clearly benefits by not having to play a 13th game. They are a quasi-member of the ACC. It's a shame that the ACC doesn't have a rule that allows them to substitute Notre Dame for a division winner in their championship game if the division winner has two or more losses than Notre Dame does. A Notre Dame Clemson game last night would have been a lot more dramatic.
