I really don't follow the recruiting very closely. Mostly what I see posted here. I've had trouble finding sites that publish lists of verbals, seems like a lot are behind pay sites.
My non scientific way of guessing which recruits are the best is when the recruiting classes are signed and the Mizzou website publishes a paragraph on each recruit and they say what other schools the player was interested in or had offers from, or how highly they were rated by Flo Softball or some other entity. So for example I wasn't real thrilled to see one of the pitchers just signed chose Mizzou over Kansas and Valpariso, but felt better to see another chose Mizzou over Georgia. Both could end up being great pitchers and hopefully will.
