It's crazy that KU was able to hire Les Miles for only $2.7M

per year, especially since he was already receiving $1.2+ mil/year (through 2023) from LSU's buyout, which he essentially had to forfeit by taking another job.
That means he's only netting about $1.5 mil/year... to coach at arguably the worst program in all of college football. That's a helluva deal for KU. Their AD, Jeff Long, really knocked it out of the park.
Les, on the other hand, has gotta be kicking himself right now. I bet if he had waited a few weeks, he could have gotten the Louisville job for $4+ mil/year.
