Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity inc. it is the oldest of the black Greek letter organizations. Bryant was inducted as a member earlier this year. The Alphas have prominent members such as Martin Luther King, Jr, Thurgood Marshall, Jesse Owens, Emmanuel Cleaver, and many others (including myself....thus the name Alphaman...fyi I pledged at Mizzou many years ago). It is a very good chapter currently at Mizzou. Recent Mizzou Alpha football player was Anthony Sherrills.
Historically Alphas are known as being intelligent and being leaders.
