Wouldn't consider myself very knowledgeable with regard to the ins and outs of an offensive game plan, but I think DD is better than JH, for the following, admittedly high level, reasons:
1. Better use of the whole field. I have seen Lock go thru progressions this year that he did not last year. DDs offense seems to use the whole field to create space, which is his job, basically. JH seemed to attack a specific section of the field and Locks checkdowns were to that same side.
2. Better use of the clock when he wanted to drain it. Not perfect, but better.
3. Varied the tempo of the offense more than JH. Seemed to know when to use tempo changes during the game. JH seemed to he hurry up all the time, and therefore time of posession was lower and the D was always gassed late in the game.
4. DD seemed to lean on the running game more than JH and it was extremely effective.
