When the libs offer, "both sides are guilty," or when they attack the other side for doing a fraction of what they did, it's just a negotiating tactic to get the weakling Rs to accept a compromise.

One is a homicidal maniac, the other j-walked. They both broke the law. Both sides are guilty.
