1) No, but it does send a message to recruits about the stability of your program. Two more games to play, let it play out and then we'll see.
2) Obviously we'll drop off at QB and even when Pinkel had his 'next in line' ready to go, our record dropped off a game or two. It's not like we had double digit wins every year. Look at the running back position, all BO recruits, thats the goal I'm sure for every position, it takes time. remember he's finishing up his third year.
3) So what ? You can't argue that he's not recruiting better NOW. Especially in St. Louis. Whats next we collectively whine about the Troy game in '04 when Pinkel should have been fired. Look to the future, not the past.
4) Heard of parity ? It's a tough league. Lock was on his 3rd OC in 4 years, and now seems albeit late, to really hitting his stride. Change is hard. At least assuming we don't get KB, Powell & Wilson will have a year under Dooley's system and no neither will be another Drew Lock. Yes I expect to not do as well next year.
5) like I said, lets wait and see. Again look to the future. Two more games to play. We will lose games, either our bowl game or some next year so don't sweat it.
Assuming he Odom does get an extension, I have no idea what exactly it should look like. I'd bet kids want to know they'll play for the same guy all 4-5 years, stability is important. As someone who was teetering on Odom for awhile there's no arguing he is a players coach in the best sense of the word. I thought he was too chummy with them, the video games in his office thing but the team really seem to love him & the staff and that goes a long way. It's a great time to be a tiger, enjoy it. We'll see about the details later.
