Yolanda Kumar, the former math and statistics tutor for Missouri athletics who confessed to multiple counts of academic fraud beginning in 2016, announced on Tuesday that she would release a list of students, classes and coordinators involved in the fraud
However, there was no release. As of press time, nothing else was posted to her Twitter account.
It was unclear Wednesday night why Kumar did not follow through on her plan. On Tuesday, Kumar agreed to speak with the Missourian the following day to discuss the release. However, on Wednesday, she did not respond to messages before or after the scheduled release time.
After leaving her job in the fall of 2016, she created a GoFundMe.com page to assist with her “legal and living expenses.” Kumar’s “Whistleblower Legal & Expense Fund” had a donation goal of $35,000. Before taking the page down, Kumar received a $250 donation.
In March 2017, Kumar tried to sell her documented evidence for $3,000 to pay off outstanding college debt to the university.
