Using 2016 statistics as 2017 I was unable to find
on homeless

adult population non vet homeless: 391,487
ADULT POPULATION NON VET 234,522,000

percent of vet homeless 42,727/20,400,000 = 2.09%
percent of civilians homeless 521,983/303.000.000 = 1.7%
percent of civilians homeless adult over 18
391,487/234,522,000 = 1.66%

Now even in Spankyland you are exactly wrong.
