The short answer is no. Public figures should stop using rhetoric that may incite/inspire lunatics to cause harm to the opposing party. Any public figure who calls for violence is wrong, period.

We cant quantify the extent to which Trump may have incited this guy to send bombs to people. It could be zero, it could be a significant part of why he did it. It doesnt matter; there is no room for violent (or close) rhetoric on either side. Yes, Maxine is just as wrong as Trump.
