True, but he had some issues on the court as well.

Kid does have some skills that will make him sought after regardless of injury, but he also had some weaknesses that I'm sure scouts were wanting to see improvement on this season. Projections are just projections, but I'd be willing to bet NBA teams had concern about how soft he played around the basket and with any contact.
He was a good shooter for his size when open, but doesn't just elevate and shoot over in-position defenders. He also wasn't strong going to the basket. NBA allows LOTS of contact, and he has yet to show he can play through it. He handles the ball ok (passes exceptionally well), but his offensive game last year was not something that NBA defenders would have trouble with IMO. He looked great at times, but he had his share of games where teams limited him offensively. His shot blocking ability especially off-ball is special, but he was still soft around the basket and I'm still not convinced his foot speed is going to allow him to stay with many NBA athletes.
He'll get drafted, but I just don't see him being such a sure thing that teams will use a really high pick on him without seeing him again. Injury will get fixed, but it takes time to heal and then more time to get back in basketball shape, and then more time playing in truly competitive situations to even get back to where he was. Good kid, hope it works out either way. Think we'll know soon, as I can see him leaving school if the NBA is his priority.
