Some questioned my omission of Oregon from my Top 25 this week.
Massey compiles all the various ratings/metrics-- including the two national polls. In the 76 different ratings they list, other than the two polls, in only 4 are the Ducks in the top 25-- and never above 23rd. They are generally somewhere between 35th and 45th in the vast majority. Their out of conference schedule was, in a word, utter crap.
They are 39th in the composite ranking. Two teams ahead of them? Purdue-- 32nd and.... drumroll please... the team that beat the Boilermakers, your Mizzou Tigers, at 36th
