Don't be fooled

They all hate each other too. They say what they can to disparage whoever they are talking about. My wife is from south Georgia, she says the same thing about Mizzou. But she hates the rest of them just the same.....every single one of them. It means nothing. We got into the best conference somehow, it's really a modern miracle, and we should be grateful. Mizzou was treated terribly by our former conference mates as well. We have already done better on the field than a few SEC teams, and we continue to morph into an SEC team. We don't fit because our passion doesn't measure up, we whine and complain about everything off the field, we don't go to games, and we show no loyalty to the team or the coach. The worst thing is we loathe ourselves, revealing little spine. It's no wonder our history is splotched with underachieving, our history is a reflection of who we are. Most fanbases are wildly optimistic and view themselves as higher than the are, Mizzou is the only fanbase that collectively views themselves as not worthy. From start to finish half our base is either critical or predicting failure no matter how good our team is. Mizzou fans need to look in the mirror. Often we agree with what others say about us as you did in your encounter.
