not stay out of trouble. DGB had Megatron type talent but was lazy in the NFL and didn't learn the playbook/routes is what I read. I think the biggest thing that hurt DGB was when Oklahoma picked him up after Pinkel/Mizzou kicked him off the team after multiple off the field problems. He needed a wakeup call and real punishment and OU/Stoops taking him on didn't allow that. Look at a guy like Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs he made a terrible off the field domestic problem. But OkSt kicked him off and he had to learn real consequences. All reports so far he's had no other issues. Sad that both wasted Pro Bowl level talent.
