guy needed for Mizzou to take that next step up to consistent upper tier SEC, but now is not the time to discuss this. There is still a half season left to play. In addition to this for all of the faults given on this board about Barry Odom, Mizzou didn't magically have five (5) All SEC freshman selections last year which was the most of anyone in the SEC.
Also, the first two years of programs in need of re-tooling are given to filling needs and not necessarily getting players and scheme that Barry Odom wants to run. This is why coaches are given four years to implement their programs.
Lastly, changing coaches does not always equate to more wins. In fact, the coaching instability of the coaching carousel tend to create the opposite.
Examples abound. LSU in the nineties. I know I lived through it. Tennessee and Nebraska in the 2010's.
