turn on pretty much any news program and you'll hear 2 types of stories:

1) reports of something that happened (i.e. news) or

2) predictions of how terrible things are going to be because of the actions of the president or political party

the latter tend to have this surreal giddyness about them where they're outwardly cheering for catastrophe to validate their position.
