Nothing will happen, except MAYBE De Sousa will be found ineligible.
The NCAA only cares about making money. They are transparently complicit.
I read with amusement that KU's compliance officer testified that he knew that De Sousa had signed a pro contract with a foreign team. First, did he report this to the NCAA? Second, hmmm, MU had a foreign player (Center, can't recall name) that was never allowed to play college basketball for signing a pro contract with an overseas team when he was very young that provided a for basically very little more than travel expenses. He never got paid anything. MU followed the procedures, asked for a NCAA ruling. No luck. KU on the other hand, apparently NCAA said - big bucks baby just keep in quiet so we can hammer others that don't go to big bucks schools.
But wait, we can bring in some political sleeze like Condi Rice to do damage control if things get to bad. Did ANYHTHING get fixed as a result of the so called blue ribbon committee? Anything. It was just a cover up strategy that didn't actually fool anyone. It was just used by the dishonest sleezes in the business as a deflection.
Don't expect ESPN do anything. They are just as dirty as the NCAA when it comes to the "blue blood programs." But baby they love to slam them non bucks schools. Gotta posture to protect their ability to cover up for the money generators.
