beyond their means. I think many people would be surprised how many people are living darn near paycheck to paycheck in $300K to $500K houses.
The discussion below about the auto industry and truck sales is another example. Instead of people buying much less expensive and much more practical cars they're buying trucks and SUV's...what happens if gas goes to $3.50 per gallon? From where i live i take the back way when i go to Liberty, i take 291 hwy which takes you right by a trailer park...that place is full of $40K to $60K trucks...if you can't afford a house you can't afford a $60K truck.
If we go in to a recession i think a big part of it will be the drunken consumer habits of the American public and both political parties have them.
