And I didn't say they dont occur. Just that they are rare.
Check out the,National Registry of Exonerations. Since records have been kept since 1989, there have been 52 cases where men convicted of sexual assault were exonerated because it turned out they had been falsley accused. And during that same time period 790 people have been exonetated for murder.
