And then he decided to hold out and not honor his current contract, which is a SUPER way to convince them to sign you to too long a deal at too high a price.

He is getting old, and teams have to pay for performance that is easily expected, not a miracle when the age of the player is considered. Bennett is a bust so far in Philly. Sherman is a good guy but has lost a step. It's pro football. They get paid. The train ends and no one wants to be left on the hook under the salary cap.
