hook and string, and just dangle it out there as a possibility (but always pulling it back a bit). In the meantime, dredge out a bunch of accusers (and sprinkle it in over a few days) in the hopes that the chorus of condemnation will cause the WH or Senate to throw their hands up and quietly force K to withdraw from the process.
And if he withdraws, guess who doesn't have to testify?
They weren't expecting him to be adamant to defend himself, so I expect the "Testimony" date to be pushed off a couple more times, a couple more names to be put out there by a willing media, and hope that he quits.
If he doesn't quit, there won't be testimony, they'll "allow" the process to continue, but there will be a plethora of circus acts and they will use it as an election issue that the R's = rapist and they FORCED THEIR CANDIDATE ON US WITHOUT OUR CONSENT!
