That person is wrong. The UI staff has worked hard to include past players. Had a big reunion last year. Has brought in past players to talk to the team. Meyers Leonard, Deron Williams, Kendall Gill, Brandon Paul and others. And not just stars. The reunion included stars, bench players, managers, etc. Even guys all the way back to the 60s.
Gill will be at the recruiting weekend for Liddell and Shannon.
The “won’t be outworked” thing is silly. Illinois coaches work as hard as Missouri coaches. Missouri coaches work as hard as Kansas coaches. These Power 5 coaches didn’t get where they are by being outworked by their competitors. If you don’t think that Underwood works as hard as Martin, you are just drinking the koolaid.
