for politicians to "pivot" to the middle in the general election.

"Oh really, Senator, you think that? Then how come you voted against it on September 29th 2017?" For most politicians, thats a KO.

Ive never seen a greater need for a 3rd major political party consisting of moderates on both sides. Let the extremes and crazies duke it out amongst themselves while rational people move forward.
