17 of 19 were Sauds. I don't think any were Afghan. That the taliban "allowed" bin Laden to run his cute lil "camps" there is on the Taliban. Purpose of the attack that morning was to drag the US into a war in Afghan - again not bin Laden's homeland so that either the Mujahadeen could kick US ass as they had kicked Sov ass OR to drag the US into such a long war (how many yrs now?) that the US voting public would demand we not engage there again. bin Laden won this one.
