The GDP growth was crawling under Obama, and the admin even stated 3% growth was no longer the new normal (they were greasing the public for much lower numbers). Once Trump's policies kicked in (mainly cutting regulations), business confidence, investments, etc. took off. The tax cuts also played a huge role.
