If you just look at stats you would be correct

Watching Gonzaga he was a really good role player. They didn’t run their offense through him in either of his seasons there.
Like I said before he was great at what he did, just not a guy that Gonzaga put the ball in his hands and said make a play.
I would say the same thing about Barnett. Both were elite defensively by the end of last season, they were also secondary offensive options. They were also both very efficient.
Perhaps our differences are in how we define a role player. To me a role player is a guy that you can’t give the ball late in the shot clock after the offense has broken down or late in the game and say go make a play.
