how can anyone predict games in November given all the wildcard situations with us and the SEC before the season ???

Matter has a job to do. He's a journalist living off our interest. If I were in his shoes I guess my employer would expect me to make a prediction as well.

In his guesses there, he doesn't predict W's or L's but final scores. Thats amazing given variables like coaching changes, how players adapt to those changes, and injuries.

I take it with a grain of salt.
