those with opinions that differ from their own have a pretty big impact on the traffic of a lot of sites, such as PragerU which as the OP noted had an immediate 99.999% drop in traffic.

Longer term, alternative sites will pop up, but for now, the leftists with the big money that control the vast majority of the social media traffic have had a big impact on some people and are obviously using their power and influence to shape public opinion...

and we're talking about it.
