That's totally false my X worked for a big corp and they went out of their way to hire minorities in a PR move. She worked in HR and that was the standing Policy.
Same goes for my place of employment, heck when I was hired full time a week later a AA applied and my new boss came to me and changed my position from full time to part time to make him happy...of course he quickly failed and was escorted out and I took the Full time job.
Don't kid yourself many companies are very race aware in their hiring process. My current girl friend who is a Black RN will tell you the same thing, that most companies are working over time to get blacks out front to take the appearance of racism away.
If two equally dressed men who are white and black applied for a job and they had close to equal qualification's the black guy get's the job.
If the Black guy has Dred's ,tat's a grill and isn't wearing a suit he doesn't get job. If a white guy show's up with a skin head, tat's and a leather jacket he doesn't get the job either.
Appearance and qualifications matter.
