One of our vendors is a Japanese company. Much of the engineering and computer code is done by Japanese engineers and some get sent to the US to work and improve their English. All end up with American nicknames because their US managers and co-workers can't pronounce their Japanese names. It is a great honor to be sent to the US to work.
So this code writer shows up and his manager assigns him a project which should take a month or more to write and compile. He comes back the next day with all the code written and it's compiled and runs well.
So his manager gives him another project which SHOULD take even longer and he comes back in a few days with all the software written and compiled.
They give him the American nickname of "Kenny" from South Park because whatever they threw at him they couldn't kill him.
