not really. It's a long course and uses elevation well

and the greens are large with "sub greens" in them and protected pins in many cases.
They aren't coming in with short irons as often as you are implying or assuming.
Plus, missing the fairway is still punitive and there is a cost to use a 3 wood or iron off the tee due to the length and protection around the greens.
