a buddy wanted to detour to White Sands national monument because he went there as a kid.
We drove 2 hours out of hour to get there. We stopped and got 40 oz beer bottles to drink on the way there so we could fill them up with sand.
Got to the gate, saw it cost something like $4 per car to enter. We all decided it wasn't worth it. We made cars in line back up so we could turn around.
Went to El Paso and Juarez, but that is a different story.
Googled White Sands afterwards.... regret not going.
