Moving the trial along, for the benefit of sequestered jurors, makes sense...however he doesn't appear to place that same standard on the defense. Gates is a pos, what does it matter how many mistresses he has?

The old judge seems to take delight in attacking the prosecution, yet he's so senile that he forgets he allowed a witness' presence in the courtroom on day 1. Time for old judge ellis to head out to pasture.
