Al Wasl Dubai (D1) added to their roster 26-year old American forward Tony Mitchell (203-107kg-92, college: N.Texas). He played last season at Leones de Santo Domingo in LNB league in Dominican Republic.
In 2013 Mitchell was drafted by Detroit Pistons (NBA) in second round (37th overall). He attended University of North Texas and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Mitchell won Venezuelan LPB championship title in 2016. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LPB Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
