The problem is not around necessity and balancing costs...it is the lies that are propagated from both sides because one side wants full government oversight, and the other side wants to avoid that.

with all of lies, fake reports, money given to come up with the lies...no one really knows the truth anymore


If a truth is not really known or understood, the weighing of costs vs benefits cannot be determined
