asked for specifics and YOU accused me of sucking off Trump.
but now let's address what Trump ACTUALLY said rather than what you THINK he said or what some pundit told you he said.
"During today's meeting, I addressed directly with President Putin the issue of Russian interference in our elections. I felt this was a message best delivered in person. Spent a great deal of time talking about it."
so on this 1st point, we have no idea WHAT was said privately. common sense would dictate that what was said privately was where the actual discussion took place rather than in front of the media at a podium across from one another. why so many people think THIS was the time or place to call him out to his face boggles my mind. it's counterproductive especially as it relates to something that BOTH sides regularly engage in.
as far as 12 Russians being indicated the other day i find it troubling that you don't find the timing of the release to be political. I find it troubling that you have no issue with them issuing indictments regarding a "hack" of systems they never examined. they are relying on the word of crowdstrike; which had no 3rd party verification. crowdstrike was hired by Perkins Coie. why are we just taking their word for it? why did the DNC refuse to allow the FBI to examine the servers and more importantly why did the FBI not seek a subpoena or warrant to examine a breach by a foreign power? that REALLY bothers me.
now to address your point of did "Donnie" as you diminutively refer to him believe Putin over the IC.
i am going to post his EXACT statement:
My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me and some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin; he just said it's not Russia.
I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be. But I really do want to see the server.
But I have -- I have confidence in both parties. I -- I really believe that this will probably go on for a while, but I don't think it can go on without finding out what happened to the server. What happened to the servers of the Pakistani gentleman that worked on the DNC? Where are those servers? They're missing; where are they? What happened to Hillary Clinton's e-mails? 33,000 e-mails gone -- just gone. I think in Russia they wouldn't be gone so easily. I think it's a disgrace that we can't get Hillary Clinton's 33,000 e-mails.
So I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today.
And what he did is an incredible offer. He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators with respect to the 12 people. I think that's an incredible offer. OK?
Thank you.
as you can see, he said he has confidence in both parties. never did he take the Russian or Putin's side over the IC or the "american people".
btw, i'll end with this, it's fair to criticize his answer. but don't put words in his mouth. and lastly don't resort to outlandish treason claims.
