These are some of the mid-majors currently tied or ranked ahead of us in the 2019 Rivals Recruiting Rankings.
We are currently DEAD LAST in the SEC and tied with Central Michigan and Nevada for 77th.
It appears that we wasted $100 million on the SEZ project that can't even impress average 3-star prospects. Wouldn't that money have been better served by hiring a competent HC and staff that can recruit and create excitement for the program?
Here are a few of the outstanding young coaches getting the job done:
- Purdue's Jeff Brohm has already obtained commitments from three 4-star players and has a class ranked 17th in the country at a school that has been a Big 10 bottom-feeder for years. You may remember Jeff Brohm, his team came to Faurot and beat us 35-3 last year.
- P.J. Fleck is another young dynamic HC at Minnesota. He currently has the #20 ranked class at lowly Minnesota.
- Iowa State's, Matt Campbell is doing a great job creating excitement in Ames and has commitments from nearly four times the number of prospects that we have. Iowa State is currently ranked 42 spots ahead of us at #35.
SEC money and new facilities shouldn't equate to half-@ssed recruiting, a half-filled stadium and pi$$-poor results on the field. We deserve better.
