How do you propose ending it for those who paid into SS for 40+ years and used that income when calculating what they needed to put away for retirement?

With an apology letter. It's not like you can get any other money back that was taxed and wasted. That's all SS is and was -- a very sneaky way to tax workers and to spend it elsewhere.

For those who are about to retire, it's either them or their children that will bite the bullet on this scheme. For those that want to provide for their children, they should consider themselves for that role.
