Jeez what a stupid thing to say, but some truth to it, if Gundy could recruit Like OU,Bama,UGA, etc. then he might have a NC under his belt. The issue is that The AD doesn't understand this ain't the 70's,80's and 90's when far flung teams like Neb. brought in top talent.
Everyone is trying HARD now and the top Players stay close to home more often than not. Okie lites reputation and locale recruiting talent pool isn't going to drag in many 4-5 stars unless they make the playoffs a couple of years.
As a AD he should understand that unless he wants to open up the alumni coffers and buy some of those guys he's spewing idiocy.
