Huge difference, between own server, and a google account.

Hillary had her own server for total control, the ability to delete whatever she felt necessary, screw the FOIA. It was much harder to setup her own server and costly, yet she did it. Why? Because she wanted total control, laws be damned.
When you use google, hotmail law enforcement can still contact those companies go thru the backup tapes and find deleted emails.
Hillary didn't want to take that chance. In my opinion, she violated national security, FOIA simply by using her own server, even before she got one email.
Not that press will ever explain the difference.
