unfortunate incident.
For the scumbags who called in the swatting, hang them from the yardarm.
A police officer was shot in the face through a door this week by a person as part of a disturbance. That person later killed 4 children and himself.
Getting called to a swatting with explicit information there have already been people murdered in the household will put everyone's nerves on edge. All the man had to do was follow instructions.
It's unfortunate that people have abandoned landline phones because it used to be someone could call the house to verify the original call....like calling back on a 9-1-1 hangup to see if there is actually a problem. More than once police have been dispatched to a 9-1-1 hangup to find a serious situation taking place but most often children playing with the phone.
If anyone should be charged with the death of the person it should be the swatters.
