Imagine...

You've lost 14 of last 18 to Missouri, you convinced a guy with no other P5 offers to pick you (Pickett) so you can land a kid that went to Champaign Centennial High School (JT), you get a Missouri transfer who was statistically one of the worst players in the entire SEC on one of the worst Missouri rosters in decades (Smith), and then landed an Illinois legacy 3 star from Peoria (Braun).

Amazing any MU fan would crow at Illinois when they have had the far inferior program historically (conference titles, NCAA appearances, NCAA wins, Sweet 16s, Final Fours, etc) and have been dominated head to head for thirty years (including losing 14 of last 18).

And, of course, with all of the hype from last summer and all of the trash talk, CM's team with multiple future NBA players was down 20 at halftime to an Illinois team that was awful.

Great news on JP and Braun can be a contributor down the line, but an Illinois call out thread is rather amusing.
