As far as pure winning...
To counter his team with players in their primes, as well:

I'd go with Lebron at point guard to counter 6-9 Magic. The only other pick is 6-5 Penny Hardaway (who was awesome, but is light compared to Magic & still much shorter).
7-1 Wilt & 7-3 Arvydis Sabonis at center &/or power forward.
A projected Len Bias at small forward...Mmmmm...maybe Bird or Dominique.
Shooting guard...Mmmm...how about Tracy McGrady?
So shortest player would be 6-8.
