It's not a free speech issue, because football players are working in a private industry.
The bigger problem, is that BLM is based on a lie, not backed by statistics. For all the drama, cops aren't targeting black people with the intent to kill. (Some blacks have been, and are targeting cops with intent to kill).
the fake premise is that the black community is suffering due to racist cops. Um, no the vast majority of deaths in the inner city is due to black on black violence, no cop involvement.
Cops do need to put up far more effort in eliminating the racist, the inept, the rapey, drunkey violent cops they tolerated (aka, the thin blue line) in the past.
But we'll never fix the problem, if we prefer to tell lies about it instead.
